Hi, I'm Jill, and I run Ascent Fitness, an outdoor based personal training business.
I'm a fully qualified REPs Level 3 personal trainer and hold a UK Athletics Level 1 coaching qualification. I also have a BSc and PhD in Immunology, so understand the factors that can affect a client's ability to become fitter and healthier.
My own sporting background is as a runner. Having come to running later in life, I have now been Scottish Hill Running Champion three times (2018, 2019 and 2021) and have represented Scotland at mountain running on several occasions. I have also represented my district, Scotland East, at cross country and can sometimes be found at the odd road race.
My love of training and racing, being outside, and understanding the importance of strength and conditioning means that I have a lot to offer in terms of session planning, advice and motivation.
